Argus Anti-Cheat

Documentation

Argus is a server-side anti-cheat for FiveM and RedM. This site is the manual: how to install it, what every setting does, and what every detection means when it fires.

How Argus is built

Most FiveM anti-cheats are a client script that watches the player's own game and reports what it sees. The cheat menus actually on sale run outside that script entirely — they can decline to report, or report anything they like. Argus is designed around that fact:

  • The server is the authority. Speed, teleports, damage, weapon geometry, who fired what at whom — measured from the entities the server owns, not from what a client says. A cheat never gets to answer those questions.
  • Client signals are leads, not verdicts. Anything the client reports can flag a player for your staff, but the shipped configuration never bans on a client-only signal, and no protection profile changes that.
  • Your scripts are part of the defence. The integration puts a checkpoint inside each resource so the events a Lua executor is sold to abuse are checked where they land, and the client half watches the Lua state an executor injects into — the one room a normal anti-cheat is never in.
  • Nothing acts on day one. Learning Mode runs every detection without acting for 24 hours by default, so you see what it would have done against your real players before it does anything.

Quick start

The whole install is a folder, a key and three lines in server.cfg:

server.cfgcfg
set argus_license "ARG-PL-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXX"

add_ace group.admin argus.commands allow
add_ace group.admin argus.admin allow

ensure argus

Then read Installation for what happens on first boot, and run argus install from the server console once to protect your other resources.

Support

The fastest route is the Discord: open a ticket and a member of staff will pick it up. Email works too: support@arguss.ac.
